We always look forward to playing at St Leonard’s – a lovely team, a warm, friendly greeting and atmosphere, fantastic food and plenty of dancing! Our grateful thanks to Sheila, Olyvia and all the team for organising a really fun evening. Thank you Olyvia for persuading so many people to come along – it encourages us to see the young (and not so young!) dancing as we play, including some rather impressive wheel chair dancing. We were also pleased to introduce Mr Green, who had been a member of St Leonard’s choir 80 years ago!

Sheila reports that the evening raised £571 for the church funds which is fantastic news. We are already looking forward to next year’s event.

We were pleased to have been asked to play for Katie Delbrooke-Jones at an event held at Banbury Cricket Club to commemorate the life of the late Quentin Delbrooke-Jones. Katie and Quentin came to see us play at our annual St Leonard’s Banbury family gatherings and as she was introducing us, Katie said that the last time they had danced together had been at last year’s St Leonard’s event. It seemed an appropriate way to say farewell to Quentin as he had enjoyed our blend of gospel blues and country gospel music. It was a joyful, international celebration of Quentin’s life and alongside Julie on cajon, Jay played saxophone with us.
